Frequently Asked Questions
Does my progress save automatically?
Yes. Every time you tap a sign to mark it off (or unmark it), your card is saved immediately to your browser's localStorage. Close the tab, come back later, and your card will be exactly as you left it — as long as you're on the same device and browser.
Does it work without an internet connection?
Mostly. Once the page has loaded, the game runs entirely in your browser, so you can keep tapping signs off without a connection. You do need a connection for the initial page load, so open the game before you head somewhere with no signal.
How is Versus Mode different from Co-op Mode?
In Versus Mode, everyone opens the game on their own device and gets a unique, randomly shuffled card — whoever completes a row, column, diagonal, or full blackout first wins. In Co-op Mode, everyone shares a single device and works together to spot every sign on one card as a team.
How do I start a new game?
Tap the "New Game" button in the header. A confirmation dialog will appear so you don't accidentally lose your progress. Confirm and you'll get a freshly shuffled card.
What counts as a win?
The standard win condition is a "blackout" — spotting all 16 signs on your card. Many groups also play a faster version where the first completed row, column, or diagonal wins, similar to classic bingo.
Can I play with young kids?
Yes — road signs are a great fit for younger kids because the shapes and colors are easy to recognize even before they can read well (an octagon means stop, a yellow diamond means caution). Older kids and teens tend to enjoy the competitive Versus Mode more, racing each other to a blackout.
Which signs are hardest to spot?
It depends on where you're driving, but rural-only signs like cattle crossing, deer crossing, and falling rocks tend to be the rarest on a typical trip, since they only appear outside cities. Common signs like stop, speed limit, and merge usually get spotted within the first few minutes.
Is this game free?
Yes, completely free. No sign-up, no subscription, no premium tier. The site is supported by ads, which help keep it free for everyone.
The page looks broken or the game isn't loading. What should I do?
The game requires JavaScript to be enabled in your browser. Make sure JavaScript is turned on, then try a hard refresh (Ctrl+Shift+R on Windows, Cmd+Shift+R on Mac). If the problem persists, try a different browser or email us at [email protected].
